I don’t really know anything about this show, or the bands that played it, but I really love this poster. The odd shape of the image, the way the bar of text mimics an element in the photograph, the solid, simple nature of the type. It’s a successful poster for all of these reasons, and one of my personal favorites.

Another gift from a friend. I became a fan of Nolen’s work by way of a mutual friend, who upon leaving for NYC unloaded quite a few posters on me. I didn’t attend this, nor do I know how it went, but this poster is absolute eye candy.
