They put on such a great show. I love the combination of the strumming classical guitar and the violin backed by a healthy dose of intricate drumming. And they blow me away more and more every time I see them.

Zac and the Beat weren’t the only ones who played a great set, though. Coald Toast wound spacey vocals through tribal drumming and repetitive guitar lines. Matt of American Tourist complimented his guitar and singing by simultaneously tapping on a bass drum. And the Invisible Hand rocked out like only a couple of talented kids from Charlottesville can, despite the singer’s bad cold and scratchy voice.

Then, I was surprised by Zac Hryciak & the Jungle Beat. Somehow they had managed to sneak on the playlist. Zac strummed his classical guitar to the accompaniment of a violinist, and a drummer. 

Next, Matt took the stage as American Tourist, playing a lot of new material. After Matt, Jack Meets the Giant wrapped up the evening with a few songs. It turned out to be a really nice show, so be sorry you missed it. But don’t worry, you can still get the poster.
