New Years Eve at Hyperlink Cafe

This was a pretty fun show. Four bands, raffles, a DJ and a lot of booze. It was going on during the first Carytown New Years Eve celebration so the crowd wasn’t as big as it probably could have been, but we still had a great time. When I made this poster, I was just beginning to play with creating my own type, and I was pretty happy with how it came out. I still have a stack of these sitting around if anyone is interested in getting a copy.

Wow, Owls! final show at Nanci Raygun

This poster just blows me away. My good friend Matt Partridge, a design genius, and fantastic artist, designed and produced this gorgeous poster for Wow,Owls! final show. It is photocopied, but he used a heat transfer foil that adheres to toner ink. Brilliant. This show was really special to me in a lot of ways. Not only was it the final show of the most special band I’ve ever been a part of, but it was with good friends, at my favorite Richmond venue (RIP) and it was the only sold out show I’ve ever played. This poster only adds to the nostalgia.
