I went on tour with Hot Lava!! All I had to do was this Tour poster and they let me tag along. What a crazy ride. Let me see if I can list the shows they played on their way down to Austin.

My favorite bands for this part of the trip were the ETERNAL SUMMERS and the BUDDY SYSTEM.
Then they played a few official and a few unofficial SXSW shows when we got to Austin. The Compound Fracture show with Richmond’s own SNACK TRUCK, MAGIC JEWELS, and BERMUDA TRIANGLES as well as AIDS WOLF, EAT SKULL, and PURPLE RHINESTONE EAGLE was by far the best time. I also really enjoyed getting to hang out in the studio while they recorded a live show for Minneapolis’ Radio K.
Oh, and thanks to everyone along they way who let us stay at their place for the night or just chilled with us before we had to get back on the road.
