LOOSE LIMBS

We’re very close to relaunching the Loose Limbs site. The idea here is to engage with Richmond’s poster art scene and allow the people involved in it to engage with each other. That means anyone who is in a local band, has been to a local show, created a flyer or poster, or simply appreciated a show poster seen in a coffee shop or stapled to a telephone pole.

When finished, anyone will be able to contribute a show poster or flyer to the site. Anyone will be able to peruse their favorites by band, artist, or venue and anyone will be able to post their thoughts, comments or anecdotes about the artwork, the band, the music, or the show. This will provide an opportunity for discussion about these different facets of the local Richmond music scene that may not be readily available elsewhere.

We hope that local bands, artists, and collectors can connect through the show posters shared here and through the discussions they will spawn. Maybe this will generate more artwork, artists, and collectors, and perhaps it will help advance the quality of that art and better serve the bands involved. At the very least it will provide a place on the web to help promote the local musicians and artists in the Richmond area.
