Operation Latte Thunder at Plaza Bowl

  1. Brandon Peck says:

Back before Plaza Bowl was a venue, it was just a bowling alley. It also probably had different owners. Occasionally, certain people would rent it out for shows, this was one of those times. This show was a benefit for Ladyfest Richmond, and also the last show for the short-lived powerhouse that was Operation Latte Thunder. At the time, I was playing in Wow, Owls! and this was our 4th or 5th show. I think we got kind of spoiled early on, because this was not only one of the most fun shows I’ve ever played, but also one of the most memorable I’ve ever been to. If my memory serves me correctly, it was $8 for bands and bowling and every last drop of alcohol in the building was consumed before the bands had finished.
